ACTS is a Bible-based, Spirit-filled, Christian church - Apostolic in pattern and authority - whose template is the New Testament book of Acts. The  acronym "ACTS" (for Apostolic Church of Truth & Spirit) is how our church is widely known. Our heritage is Pentecostal, and we teach the necessity and unmatched glory of receiving the "born again" experience, just as the Apostles and the first church experienced. And that experience is for us today!

ACTS is a church dedicated to the urgent cause of winning the lost!  Because of these turbulent times, ACTS is a church dedicated to end time evangelization. 

We are currently preparing for two yearly, autumn events: Our 5th annual Back to School Prayer Night on September 10th; and the Metuchen Country Fair in October, where the ACTS Ensemble and our teen group, Chair 13, provide musical witnesses, on stage. Additionally, we have a booth at the Fair where we are on hand to share Jesus and the power of His Name to "whoseover will". Both events have proven to be great opportunities for the Metuchen/Edison communities and ACTS to meet!  

ACTS' House2House cell groups, held at various members' homes, are localized environments where Jesus and His teachings and principles are shared in  casual, non-threatening and engaging settings, using practical and topical themes. The group meetings fall on alternating Tuesday nights at 7:30. We invite you to contact the hosts whose information is provided on our Church Calendar page.

We stress that the Church is not merely a tradition or obligation, or something one is "born into", but rather a "new identity in Jesus" and a "lifestyle of transformation", whereby the redeemed assemble to worship the Lord Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth, and to receive the Word of God as spiritual preparation to undertake the Kingdom Commission to reach out to others as His ambassadors. 

We welcome and allow the Holy Spirit to groom us to become active in various facets of ministry, support & compassion and outreach.  We are fully persuaded that God will empower every faith-filled, repentant believer in Jesus Christ with His promised Holy Spirit to become victors over adversities, and not remain victims!
