Pastor and Mrs. James Nevius - Heading up ACTS' Ministries

ACTS is an Apostolic Pentecostal church that patterns itself after the biblical book of Acts, hence the acronym "ACTS" (for Apostolic Church of Truth & Spirit). We are part of the NJ Metro District of the United Pentecostal Church International, and enjoy fellowship with other One God Apostolic church works and ministries.  We actively support Foreign Missions, and believe in the absolute necessity of our children and youth taking to heart the Word of God, insomuch as ACTS has been represented at the annual National Junior Bible Quizzing Finals  in St. Louis for the last few years -- our children and teens challenged by some of the best youth Bible students in the country!  We believe in the power of daily, personal prayer time, as well as corporate prayer meetings -- Friday nights at 7:30 being our time to assemble, and as a group we "storm the throne of Heaven", interceding on behalf of the lost, infirm, rejected, and afflicted. ACTS has a group or ministry to participate in for all age levels!  Among them are, Women of Worth, Daughters of Zion, Men's Fellowship Prayer Breakfasts, Youth Ministry, Junior & Senior Bible Quizzing, Tracts Outreach Ministry, Music Ministry, Church Setup Ministry, Sheaves For Christ Summer Walk-a-Thon, Children's Church, Metuchen Country Fair participation, International Christmas Banquet, Home Bible Studies...  We believe that the Church is not just a tradition or obligation, but a "New Life change", bringing together the saints of God to worship the Lord Jesus Christ in Spirit and in truth, and to undertake the Kingdom Commission of reaching out to others as His ambassadors; and to be active in various facets of Church ministry, support and operation.
